ellcrys70Things that I am happy for now that I am 36 years old.
I am grateful that every year I learn a little more about myself and more about the people around me, and that in the learning I grow a little.
As I sat looking around the dinner table last night, and after when we'd gone out and were dancing, I realized how much I love my friends, how much they mean to me and how lucky I am to have them.
They know me so well, and they love me and want the best for me always. How rare is that?
Today, as a present Sheri and Dave came over and made me lunch on the BBQ, Shan came over and brought the salad but I didn't have to do a damn thing, including dishes. Yay! Shish-ka-bobs with garlic butter shrimp, scallops and mushrooms. Then BBQ chicken breasts and for me, my favourite, oysters! It was so awesome. Afterwards we had homemade cake from my Aunt Mas, who makes me my cake every year. Poppyseed Chiffon cake. YUM!
We spent the afternoon laying in chairs out back talking, very peaceful.
I also woke up very early to go to church and when I got back, there were my birthday fics fromlovehurts4ever. Two of them. Jake/Jared AND Swoff/Kruger! Thank you so much, my Sam. You know it means so much to me that you made some lovely fics for me on my birthday, so thank you for being such a great friend!
I was actually quite depressed when I woke up yesterday morning. Feeling old, useless and seeing nothing good about the day.
That changed when I went out with my friends and felt the love. So here's a big hug and kiss to everyone who's made my birthday great for me!!
