Thanksgiving was gooooood!!!!

ellcrys70Thanksgiving has come and gone again, and I must say, it was excellent,as usual. Due to my lack of employment and general anxiety over bills I wasn't in the cheeriest of moods this week. (I keep remembering Chandler walking into the apartment going, "Turkey, blah; stuffing, blah; giving thanks, blah!" and Phoebe saying, "Look everyone, it's the spirit of Thanksgiving!")
But, I slowly pulled out of it, due in no small part to the fact that my mother's food was superb, as usual, as were the rest of my family's additions. 15 people at my mom's is a big deal though. It's usually 7 or 8 people. However, my mom is supremely organized and it wasn't the catastrophe I was prophetizing.
Just for dionneshea, I'll put a run-down of the menu:
Turkey, ham, mashed potato casserole, rice, gravy, turnip/apple casserole, sweet potato and orange casserole, cabbage rolls, ham and cheese spread, broccoli salad, broccoli and cheese sauce, green beans, peas and onions, cooked carrots, 2 jellied salads, homemade buns, homemade pumpkin pies, mochi, homemade cinnamon buns, punch and.......24 hr. salad! Taa Daa!!! Pretty fine feast!
My cousin Anthony is going to visit my cousin Kelly in Montreal in a couple weeks then to Halifax to hang with his buddy for awhile. Must be nice.
I think my favourite 2 family holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, which is funny because both are at home and means spending time with my mother, which isn't always the best, but I like the food I guess.
