Starbucks! And the dreaded car....

So, I really love my part-time job. My boss, Dave, is a sweetheart and keeps his head when all around us is going nuts. I'll illustrate:
Last night, it's me and him. Our third person didn't show up for his shift. So, me and Dave, running the store. This is not a good thing for a few reasons. I'm new, I'm not all that fast and I have trouble answering the drive-thru and talking to people inside the store at the same time. I get a little confused. LOL
Then...the door is sucked open by the 100km. winds that my lovely city can get and it smashes against the wall outside and shatters from top to bottom. Luckily we have double-paned doors, so we still had one pane. We had been locking the door, because it was opening on it's own before this, and just had a sign telling people to knock and we'd let them in. However, someone went out and it didn't get locked behind them.
Through it all, Dave just stays calm, but he had to be tired of it all by this time. I know I would've been. He kept saying what a good job I was doing and how much he valued me being there. I just felt sorry for him. Poor guy.
Tomorrow, we're closing again. I picked up a couple extra shifts this week because a fair amount of our staff left for home for the holidays.
I hope it goes better, because it really is a nice place to work.
Then today, my car dies. Just dies. Won't start, it's not the battery, we don't know what it is. Probably the starter. So it's sitting outside the dealership where I had it towed. For fuck's sake, makes me want to scream but what can you do. I have roof over my head and food in my fridge. I'm way better off than many in the world, so I guess I should just count my blessings.
Speaking of which:
Thanks to
