So I decided to apply for a part-time summer job because my new place is more costly than I'd like. On paper I can afford it but let's face it, reality is something else. So I went out and applied at the new Linens-n-Things that's going up by our Home Depot. I had 2 interviews and a 60 question test then they said I was hired. Took 1.5 hours out of my Saturday. Then I called my daughter and said, "I got the job, you see, that's how it's done." Because although there's nothing but jobs in our town, she can't find one. Lack of looking, I think.

The job should be okay. 25% discount and they think that they can work around my schedule at school in September. Maybe I'll just work weekends or something.

Went out to Essie's last night to dance and carry-on. It was fun. I ran into some staff members and an ex-boyfriend who lives with a staff member, they were on a two-day bender so it was amusing. Saw my cousin Renee who was with a stagette and was VERY drunk. She ran up, hugged me and when I asked if she was with a stagette, she yelled, "Fuck yeah!" And I laughed and laughed, because she's usually pretty laid-back and quiet. Nice to see her have fun though.

My head (which still hurts) started to hurt worse after awhile, apparently loud music, flashing lights and smoke aren't good for a headache, so I left at 1:00am.

I'm burning "Gremlins" for Shanna and I because my kids thought it was great when we watched it yesterday and Shanna's son really likes it too.  Tori cried when Grandpa takes Gizmo back at the end. Then she said she wants one. Aah, how I remember that.... who didn't want their own Mogwai when that movie came out. I'm probably really dating myself by saying that. I think it was 1980-something.

One more week of school. Thank goodness. I'm so tired of kids. And believe me, it's mutual.

When I read about the charity screenings of  "Serenity", I checked for the nearest one. Edmonton. Figures. Lethbridge blows sometimes.
Not enough Browncoats here apparently.
