Christmas fun begins...

Thanks, Lyndsay! I love it, and with all the books I have on the go, it's good to have somewhere to keep my spot. Every time I look at it, I giggle.
Today we had our Christmas Turkey dinner at the school, it's a tradition that we put on for the kids, many of whom this might be their only turkey dinner for the season.
We cooked 4 turkeys, 30lbs. of potatoes with gravy, buns, yams, salad, pickles, cranberry sauce, stuffing and loads of desserts. Lots of our teenage moms brought their babies and our librarian dressed up as Santa and all the little ones got a present. It made me tear up a little, I won't lie.
Everyone was in great spirits, and the day was draining, but very fun. I was worried no one would come because the weather here is utter crap right now, but we had a great turn-out.
If the rest of my holidays go this well, I'll be very, very happy.
